Initial story of this film is where Tien is captured and beaten to death almost before he is saved and brought back to the Kana Khone Villagers.

Ong Bak 3 is Ong Bak 2 forward, where Tien was arrested and nearly beaten to death before he was rescued and taken back to the Kana Khone village. Where in the village he was taught meditation and how to deal with his karma. But very soon his arch rival Tien returns challenging for a final duel.
